Preventive care

Getting regular preventive care is an important way to stay healthy and catch potential health issues while they’re easier to treat. Preventive services are FREE when you get them at an in-network provider and include:

  • Wellness exams
  • Depression screening
  • Vaccinations
  • Some medications

Visits to a doctor’s office to discuss a symptom or condition are covered, but not free.

Second opinions are covered, but not free.

Chronic or serious illness

Personal Health Support: One-on-one support during an illness. If you or a family member are diagnosed with a serious illness or condition or suffer an injury, our trained clinicians help you get the care you need:

  • Coordinate care and services for optimal treatment
  • Find resources to support your health and recovery

Naturopath and acupuncture

No referral needed.

Visits to a doctor’s office to discuss a symptom or condition are covered, but not free.

Surgery

You may get several bills from a single surgery (hospital, doctor, anesthesia).

Planned surgery often needs preapproval to make sure you’re covered. For major surgery (like spine) preapproval can take time.

Cosmetic surgery is not covered.
